Privacy Policy for AI Phone Clean: FreeUp Storage

Last updated: August 2026

AI Phone Clean: FreeUp Storage ("the app") helps you find and remove junk files, duplicate photos, merge duplicate contacts, and keep private photos in a secure Vault, all directly on your device. This page explains what the app accesses, why, and just as importantly, what it never does with that access.

The short version: everything the app reads (photos, files, contacts) is processed on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to any server we operate. There is no account, no login, and no analytics tracking your activity inside the app.

Information the app accesses

The app requests the following device permissions, each used only for the feature it powers:

Secure Vault

Photos and videos you move into the Vault are encrypted and stored locally on your device, protected by a PIN you set (separate from your device's own lock screen). Vault contents are never transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app, or losing the device without a separate backup of your own, permanently deletes anything stored in the Vault. We have no copy and cannot recover it.

Advertising

Some versions of the app show ads served by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, under Google's own privacy policy. We do not control or receive this data ourselves. It is handled entirely between your device and Google. You can see whether a specific version of the app includes ads on its Play Store listing.

Install source

On first launch, the app reads the Google Play Install Referrer to understand, in aggregate, how the app was discovered (e.g. an ad click vs. a direct search). This does not identify you personally and is not linked to any other data the app accesses.

What we don't do

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your data, your control

Because everything the app reads stays on your device, deleting data is entirely in your hands: remove items from the Vault or your gallery directly in the app, revoke the app's permissions at any time in Android's Settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored, including the Vault.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change too. We encourage you to check back periodically.
